teamLab Borderless is the world's most visited digital art museum, a Guinness World Record holder located at Azabudai Hills in Minato ward, Tokyo. Created by art collective teamLab, it features over 75 artworks that flow freely between rooms in a borderless world without a map, using 520 computers and 470 projectors across 10,000 square metres. It reopened at its current Azabudai Hills location in February 2024.

teamLab Borderless at Azabudai Hills includes the EN TEA HOUSE on the museum grounds, which opens at 10:30 and serves Japanese teas and light refreshments in an immersive digital setting. The Sketch Factory allows visitors to have drawings they create during the Sketch Ocean artwork printed onto merchandise such as badges and T-shirts. The surrounding Azabudai Hills complex is one of the finest dining and retail destinations in Tokyo with exceptional restaurant options immediately adjacent.

teamLab Borderless is closed on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month as a regular closure pattern. Additionally, the museum may close on specific maintenance dates throughout the year. Always check the official website at teamlab.art/e/tokyo before booking or visiting to confirm your chosen date is open. Arriving on a regular closure Tuesday will result in the museum being shut.

From 8 July to 8 October 2026, teamLab Borderless presents a special limited exhibition titled On the Asymmetry of the Universe within the Light Sculpture and Flow artwork space. The exhibition features two new series: Asymmetric Existence, a single sculpture formed by the integration of two light sculptures appearing asymmetrically in real space and mirror space, and Chromatic Existence. These works are exclusive to this period and not available at any other time.

Yes, teamLab Borderless is an excellent experience for all ages. Unlike teamLab Planets there are no water areas and visitors keep their shoes on throughout, making it significantly more manageable for families with young children. Children under 4 enter free. The Athletic Forest section and the Sketch Ocean where children can create drawings that come to life in the artwork are particularly popular with younger visitors.

teamLab Borderless is located on the first basement floor of Garden Plaza B, Azabudai Hills, in Minato ward, Tokyo. The most convenient MRT connection is Kamiyacho Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line, directly connected to Azabudai Hills with approximately a 5-minute walk to the museum. Roppongi-itchome Station on the Tokyo Metro Namboku Line is approximately a 4-minute walk via Exit 2.

teamLab Borderless at Azabudai Hills is a museum without a map where visitors explore freely with shoes on and artworks flow between rooms without defined boundaries, emphasising freedom of movement and discovery. teamLab Planets in Toyosu follows a set route through seven defined spaces requiring bare feet and wading through water, emphasising full physical immersion. Both are extraordinary but distinct experiences. teamLab Planets is open until end of 2027.
