Tokyo DisneySea Entry Tickets Overview

Opened on 4 September 2001 on the shores of Tokyo Bay in Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, Tokyo DisneySea is the seventh Disney theme park in the world and by many measures the most ambitious and visually extraordinary. Designed around the concept of oceans and maritime adventure, it is organised into seven themed ports of call: Mediterranean Harbour, American Waterfront, Port Discovery, Lost River Delta, Arabian Coast, Mermaid Lagoon, and Fantasy Springs, which opened in June 2024 as the largest and most technically ambitious expansion in the park's history, containing Frozen Ever After, Peter Pan's Neverland, and six further themed experiences.

Know Before You Go

Book your Tokyo DisneySea tickets online as far in advance as possible as 2026 dates are selling out up to 60 days ahead due to the Sparkling Jubilee 25th anniversary celebration and tickets are not guaranteed at the gate on popular days

The park uses dynamic pricing so earlier purchases for the same date consistently deliver a lower price, with adult tickets ranging from approximately ¥9,400 to ¥10,900 depending on the date

Arrive at least 60 minutes before official opening as the first hour delivers immediate walk-on access to Fantasy Springs and other high-demand attractions before queues build significantly

The operating calendar is published around the 8th of each month so always verify the exact hours on your visit date at tokyodisneyresort.jp

The Disney Premier Access service provides paid priority access to high-demand attractions, purchased through the Tokyo Disney Resort App on the day after entering the park

FAQs

1What is Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea?

Fantasy Springs is the landmark new land that opened at Tokyo DisneySea in June 2024, located in the eighth port of call. It contains four themed areas inspired by Disney films: Frozen Kingdom with Frozen Ever After, Rapunzel's Forest, Peter Pan's Neverland, and a Disney hotel. With eight new attractions, it is the largest and most ambitious single expansion in the park's 25-year history.

2How does dynamic pricing work at Tokyo DisneySea?

Tokyo DisneySea uses dynamic pricing for its 1-Day Passport with adult prices ranging from approximately ¥9,400 to ¥10,900 depending on the date. Peak dates including weekends, Japanese school holidays, Golden Week, and the Christmas and New Year period carry the highest prices. Purchasing as early as possible consistently delivers the lowest available price as tickets rise in cost as the date approaches.

3Is Tokyo DisneySea suitable for families with young children?

Yes, though Tokyo DisneySea has historically skewed slightly older, Fantasy Springs in 2024 with Frozen Ever After and Peter Pan's Neverland significantly expanded its family appeal. Mermaid Lagoon is a dedicated children's area. Children under 3 enter free. The Sparkling Jubilee anniversary entertainment in 2026 includes family-oriented shows and character greetings for all ages.

4How do I get to Tokyo DisneySea?

Tokyo DisneySea is located in Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, adjacent to Tokyo Disneyland. Take the Keiyo Line from JR Tokyo Station to Maihama Station, approximately 15 minutes, then the Disney Resort Line monorail to Tokyo DisneySea Station. The total journey from central Tokyo takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes.

5What is Disney Premier Access at Tokyo DisneySea?

Disney Premier Access is a paid priority queue service for specific high-demand attractions purchased through the Tokyo Disney Resort App after entering the park on your visit day. It is particularly valuable during the Sparkling Jubilee anniversary year when queue times for Soaring: Fantastic Flight and Frozen Ever After regularly exceed 90 minutes on peak days.

6What is the difference between Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea?

Tokyo Disneyland opened in 1983 with seven classic lands focused on beloved Disney characters and family entertainment. Tokyo DisneySea opened in 2001 with an ocean and adventure theme across seven ports targeting adults and families. In 2026 DisneySea celebrates its 25th Sparkling Jubilee anniversary and with Fantasy Springs added in 2024, it is the centrepiece of the resort this year.

7What are the must-do attractions at Tokyo DisneySea?

Essential attractions include Soaring: Fantastic Flight, Tower of Terror, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Indiana Jones Adventure, Frozen Ever After in Fantasy Springs, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Toy Story Mania!, and Sindbad's Storybook Voyage. The nighttime spectacular Believe! Sea of Dreams featuring Rapunzel, Hiro from Big Hero 6, and the DisneySea debut of Mirabel from Encanto is also essential viewing.

8What is the Sparkling Jubilee at Tokyo DisneySea?

The Sparkling Jubilee is Tokyo DisneySea's year-long 25th anniversary celebration running from 15 April 2026 through 31 March 2027. It features Jubilee Blue decorations across all themed ports, the Sparkling Jubilee Celebration harbour show with Mickey and friends in exclusive anniversary costumes aboard a decorated vessel, the Sparkling Jubilee Night projection mapping show on Hotel MiraCosta, special merchandise, and limited-edition food and beverages throughout the park.
