Jewel Changi Airport Entry Tickets Overview

When Jewel Changi Airport opened in April 2019 it immediately and permanently redefined what an airport could be. Designed by Moshe Safdie, the same architect behind Marina Bay Sands, this extraordinary glass-and-steel toroidal structure sits at the heart of Changi Airport, connected directly to Terminals 1, 2, and 3, and accessible to anyone regardless of whether they are flying. Inside, five storeys of lush tropical garden, retail, and dining surround the most dramatic centrepiece attraction in any airport in the world: the HSBC Rain Vortex.

The HSBC Rain Vortex is the world's tallest indoor waterfall at 40 metres, plunging through a circular opening in the roof in a spectacular sheet of water that falls through seven storeys to a reflective pool at ground level. The water is harvested rainwater, collected from the massive glass roof and fed back through the system in a closed-loop cycle that also irrigates the Shiseido Forest Valley below. At full flow the waterfall moves up to 37,850 litres of water per minute. Each evening from 20:00, the surrounding walls become a 360-degree projection surface for the nightly Light and Sound Showcase, transforming the waterfall into a spectacular display of choreographed colour and music. On Fridays, Saturdays, and public holidays a third show at 22:00 is added.

The outdoor Canopy Park on Level 5 is the primary ticketed attraction, offering 14,000 square metres of landscaped gardens and recreational activities including the Mastercard Canopy Bridge with its glass floor section, the Hedge Maze, the Mirror Maze, and the Sky Nets bouncing and walking experiences above the treetops. Note that Jewel-rassic Quest ceased operations from 1 April 2026. Book your Canopy Park tickets in advance online.

Know Before You Go

Note that all Jewel attractions except the Changi Experience Studio will be closed from 10:00 to 15:30 on 27 June 2026 due to a private event so plan your visit on a different date if affected

The nightly Light and Sound Showcase at the Rain Vortex starts at 20:00 daily and is completely free to watch from anywhere in the Forest Valley, making an evening visit the most spectacular and most economical time to experience Jewel

Visiting from the basement levels B1 and B2 gives the closest perspective of the Rain Vortex with the mist of the waterfall noticeable at close range while Levels 3 and 4 provide the most expansive and less crowded vantage point

Note that Jewel Changi Airport and the HSBC Rain Vortex and Shiseido Forest Valley are completely free to enter and require no ticket so only the Canopy Park attractions require a paid ticket

Book your Canopy Park tickets online in advance through the official Jewel website as walk-up prices are higher and popular activities like Sky Nets sell out quickly especially on weekends
