Aquatica Orlando Entry Tickets Overview

Aquatica Orlando opened in 2008 as SeaWorld's dedicated water park and has won multiple awards from USA Today, TripAdvisor, and the theme park industry. It sits directly across Central Florida Parkway from SeaWorld Orlando and shares the SeaWorld Parks campus alongside Discovery Cove.

The park is themed around the South Pacific with animal mascots Roa the kiwi, Kata the kookaburra, and Wai the dolphin. The slide lineup is world-class. Riptide Race is the world's tallest dueling racing waterslide. Ihu's Breakaway Falls drops riders from a sealed pod via trapdoor from six stories. KareKare Curl produces moments of complete weightlessness on a wave wall. Ray Rush is a three-person manta ray-shaped raft ride. The Reef Plunge sends riders through an enclosed tube passing through a live Commerson's dolphin pool.

Family and relaxation options balance the lineup. Roa's Rapids is a fast-flowing rapids river. Loggerhead Lane is a lazy river. Walhalla Wave is a large family raft ride. Kata's Kookaburra Cove and Walkabout Waters are dedicated children's areas.

FAQs

1What dining options are available?

Aquatica has multiple quick-service locations serving burgers, sandwiches, wraps, chicken, pizza, salads, and desserts. An All-Day Dining add-on allows multiple dining visits throughout the day. Outside food in soft-sided coolers is permitted. Glass containers and outside alcohol are not. The park is entirely cashless. Private cabanas with dedicated service are available for advance reservation.

2Is Aquatica suitable for young children?

Yes. Kata's Kookaburra Cove is a themed children's area with slides and interactive elements for children under 48 inches. Walkabout Waters is a family play structure for children under 48 inches with an adult. Loggerhead Lane and Whanau Way family raft ride accommodate younger children with life vests, provided free throughout the park. Guests under 48 inches must wear a life vest on most major attractions.

3What are the top rides at Aquatica Orlando?

Aquatica's headline rides are Riptide Race, the world's tallest dueling racing waterslide; Ihu's Breakaway Falls, a trapdoor freefall from six stories; KareKare Curl, a high-adrenaline wave wall; Ray Rush, a three-person manta ray raft ride; the Reef Plunge, an enclosed tube through a live dolphin pool; Taumata Racer, a six-lane mat racing slide; and Omaka Rocka, a high-speed slide. Riptide Race and Ihu's Breakaway Falls draw the longest waits.

4What is AquaGlow?

AquaGlow is Aquatica's summer evening experience on select nights from May 15 through September 26 2026. It features neon lighting, glow effects, a DJ beach party, and neon-themed entertainment across pools and beach areas. AquaGlow extends the park's closing time on event nights rather than clearing it for a separate event. Confirm whether your specific ticket includes AquaGlow evening access before purchasing.

5How does Aquatica compare to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon?

Aquatica typically offers more innovative slide engineering including the world's tallest dueling racer and the unique dolphin tube encounter, and operates year-round without seasonal closures. Typhoon Lagoon has the advantage of Disney theming and integration with Walt Disney World vacation packages. Aquatica pricing is typically lower for standalone single-day visitors and its multi-park combos with SeaWorld and Discovery Cove offer strong value.

6What is the Reef Plunge?

The Reef Plunge combines an enclosed tube slide with a live animal encounter. Riders travel through a tube passing directly through the park's Commerson's dolphin habitat, separated only by the transparent tube walls. This experience is not available at any other water park in the world. A minimum height of 48 inches applies. The Reef Plunge consistently draws long queues during peak hours.

7Is Aquatica included with a SeaWorld Orlando ticket?

No. Aquatica is a separate-gate park with its own admission. A standalone SeaWorld Orlando day ticket does not include Aquatica. Multi-park combo tickets combining both parks are available and offer better per-day value for visitors planning to visit both. The 2026 Fun Card and annual passes cover unlimited visits to both parks throughout the year subject to blockout dates.

8Is Aquatica open year-round?

Yes. Aquatica Orlando is open every day of the year including through winter, the only major Orlando water park without a full seasonal closure. The park heats its water during cooler months. Hours are shorter in winter, typically 10:00 to 17:00 on weekdays, extending significantly in summer. AquaGlow evening events from May through September further extend the day.
